Keynote: Smarter Calls in the Age of AI

How good leaders still make bad calls, and how to catch it before it costs you. Leaders leave with a sharper eye for bias in themselves, their teams and their AI tools.

Who it's for

Conferences, kick-offs and leadership forums. Rooms of 30 to 300 people who make calls that matter and would rather not find out later which ones were wrong.

The problem it solves

Most bad decisions aren't stupid, just human. Smart, experienced people still make the same few predictable mistakes, and experience by and large makes us more confident about them, not less. This keynote shows a room what those mistakes look like up close, using real cases where bias sat behind a costly decision, so people can catch them before they cost anything.

What happens in the session

A typical session runs like this.

  1. Opening. A quick moment where the room gets something slightly wrong together. It's a gentle way in.
  2. Real-world cases. Cases where bias sat behind a costly decision, and the habits that counter them.
  3. Bias Scanner walkthrough. Know when to trust the machine: AI makes confident answers cheap. We cover automation bias and a simple test for when to accept, question or overrule an AI recommendation, with a walkthrough of a sample Bias Scanner report.
  4. The habits to keep. A handful of practical habits people can take into Monday.
  5. Time for questions.

FAQs

Can it fit our conference or offsite?

Yes. The keynote runs 45–60 minutes for 30–300 people.

What if we want more than one talk's worth?

Book the keynote and 50% of the fee is credited if you book a workshop within 6 months. Plenty of teams start with the keynote and come back for a Decision Day.

Is the demo on our material?

No. The walkthrough uses a public podcast, so nothing from your organisation goes on screen.
