Decision Day: Better Calls, Fewer Regrets

Your team makes one real, pending decision better, and leaves with a routine it can repeat.

Price

A$7,500 ex GST. A$6,000 for non-profits. Had a keynote with us in the last 6 months? Half its fee comes off.

Who it's for

Teams of up to 25 with a real call coming up: a hire, a launch, a restructure, a budget, whatever is sitting on the table. The team should be comfortable saying so if the plan has a hole in it, or willing to get there.

The problem it solves

Generic training fades by Friday. Most teams already know biases exist; what's harder is catching them in their own calls, mid-decision, when everyone's busy and the plan looks fine. A Decision Day is built around one decision your team is actually facing. So the learning has something to hold on to, and the decision gets better along the way.

What happens in the session

The day follows four steps.

  1. Diagnose. A quick exercise exposes the biases in your team's recent calls. It's an interactive bias diagnostic on your own team's calls.
  2. Learn. Pre-mortems, base rates, consider-the-opposite and a decision journal.
  3. AI-proof. Automation bias, and when to trust or overrule the machine.
  4. Decide. Work through a real, pending decision and leave with a routine.

What people leave with

  • The real decision, improved: questioned, pre-mortemed and checked against base rates.
  • A written routine the team can repeat on the next call.
  • The toolkit: pre-mortem, base rates, consider-the-opposite, decision journal.

Format and logistics

  • Length: Full day.
  • Group size: Up to 25 people.
  • Where: In person in Melbourne and Victoria; elsewhere and online on request.
  • What you provide: A room for the day. We'll go through anything else the room needs when you book.
  • Before the day: We'll talk with you about which decision to bring and anything worth preparing.

FAQs

Is our real decision kept confidential?

Yes. It's discussed in the room only.

Will it stick after the day?

Decision Day ends with a written routine. If you want more than that, Challenge Ready adds a decision review and a 60-day check-in.

Is this just another bias lecture?

No. It's hands-on, and the whole day is built around a decision your team brings. If we've done it right, you'll spend more time arguing about your own plan than listening to us.

Bring the decision you're stuck on.
